Bradford Brawl 2026 Announcement + 2025 Event Highlights!

The Bradford breakin scene has been going from strength to strength over the years and each edition of Bradford Brawl continues to raise the bar. For the Bboys and Bgirls of Bradford, this internal event has become a highlight of the year. Dancers dedicate months to crafting their showcases and sharpening their skills for the battles, all aiming to leave their mark on Bradford’s breakin history. With Bradford Brawl 2026 just around the corner, lets take a look back at what went down last year. Last year's edition of Bradford Brawl marked the largest and most exciting one to date. The anticipation in the lead-up, from all crews and competitors was nothing short of electric. Special guests began arriving a few days before the event and the energy could be felt through every class as we edged closer to the Saturday. Every crew entered with clear goals, creating a thrilling atmosphere of competition and performance. The level of preparation and dedication from the breakin community as a whole was incredible. Bboy Marius, representing MDK (UK), kicked off Bradford Brawl with his workshop in the morning. The turnout was exceptional, with almost 30 Bboys and Bgirls in attendance! Although Marius has taught previous workshops in Bradford before, no one wanted to miss what he had to share this time around. The high quality of Marius’ workshops is evident – people always want to come back for more. Some Bboys and Bgirls took things further and applied what was taught just a few hours later at the event. This was amazing to see. B.Smooth were the opening act of the Brawl, setting the tone for the event, [...]

What happened at Tech Styles 10?

Tech Styles 10 will officially go down in Bradford’s history as the biggest and most incredible event to date, taking the city’s scene and reputation to a whole new level. Bboys & Bgirls from all over the world travelled to connect, exchange and celebrate the tenth edition of Tech Styles as an audience of over 250 packed in to witness these world class match-ups and hip hop at its best. Within the city, the Bradford scene showed up in full force, truly embodying all the teachings, stories and energy shared throughout the event week by our guest artists. The event week as a whole had many highs, as we had artists from over 10 different countries arrive in Bradford including Togo, Africa, Mexico, Texas, Switzerland, France, London, Canada, Sweden and more. It meant a lot to the team to have these crews and individuals join us for the tenth edition and Bradford was blessed to be the home for so many incredible legends and pioneers of breakin culture. Some of the first guests to arrive were the Rock Star Crew (Togo, Africa). At Tech Styles 9, we were finally able to invite Bboy Rodi over to be a part of our esteemed judging panel after many years of connections, plans and work. However, this year, the team took it to new heights as we were joined by a full squad of five Togolese Bboys who were ready to battle for the B.Tactical Champion Title. Their first arrival in Bradford was an emotional one as this has been a dream for them as well as us for many consecutive years now. We have to give a massive thank you to Bradford2025 & British Council [...]

Clean North Crew at Bgirl City XIII | Tech Styles International

Returning to Texas and Bgirl City after the inspiring 2024 visit felt essential and once again the crew were welcomed with open arms by Beast Boogie (HaviKoro). The first trip felt like a dream, so this time the crew were determined to soak up every moment. They arrived on a Tuesday afternoon, ready to reconnect with the culture and community and fuel their creativity, whilst settling into some training in the garage and front garden. By Thursday evening, the energy of the trip shifted into high gear, just like last year and the incredible moments just kept building from there. If you have been with us from the start, or you have just landed here, stay tuned as we’re gearing up to unveil something special towards the end of this blog! Beast Boogie ensured the crew could revisit their favourite 2024 hangouts while also discovering some new gems. They hit up Texas staples like Whataburger and H‑E‑B, the beloved regional supermarket. Their quality local produce made home‑cooking a must this trip. They also swung by The Galleria, 3 Salsas, Salata and more. Places that champion local produce and place fresh ingredients at the forefront is a world away from what can be found daily back home. This combined with true southern hospitality made connecting around the table and creating new and lasting memories so enjoyable. We have to give a big thank you to Beast Boogie’s parents for treating the crew to the delicious traditional Mexican meals. These evenings quickly became some of the best on the trip and the generosity is truly appreciated. [...]

Clean North Crew to New York | Dynamic Rockers 45th Anniversary Jam | Tech Styles International

Going to New York, the birthplace of Hip Hop, is the dream for any real Bboy, Bgirl or breaking crew. It was certainly the dream for the Clean North. In May of 2024, we were blessed to be able to send 10 Bboys/Bgirls to New York to compete at the Dynamic Rockers 45th Anniversary and The Pro Breaking Tour 3v3 Open. This goes down in history for the Bradford hip hop scene, as one of the biggest adventures ever undertaken. For Clean North to be able to experience New York together is something they will never forget and the knowledge gained from this trip will have a massive impact on the future generations of Bradford's breakin/hiphop scene. The journey began on Monday the 27th of May, just 12 hours after Labyrinth and Ammo returned from the World Kidz Breaking Championships in Ljubljana Slovenia. They stayed in Manchester the night before and met the rest of the crew at the airport the morning after, the excitement was like no other. For Fox, Labyrinth & Elijah, this was their second time visiting New York. They had visited NYC as part of R&D in October 2023 to scout out the possibility for a future visit with the whole crew and to battle in the Pro Breaking Tour Open 2v2 and Youth Battles. This was a massively successful trip with Fox and Labyrinth getting a feel and understanding of New York City and representing Tech Styles International, Bradford and Clean North to the fullest. Not only that, Bboy Elijah also took the win in the Youth Battles, which was truly a historic [...]

Bradford Brawl Breakin Event 2024 | Recap

It has been just over a week since Bradford Brawl 2024 breakin event and what an amazing event it was! This was definitely the biggest Bradford Brawl battles we have had to date. The build up for the team, the bboys and bgirls was incredible. We had special guests arriving earlier in the week and there was excitement and energy across all the classes the closer we got to the event. Each crew had their own targets going into this year’s Bradford Brawl, so everyone was anticipating how the battles and showcases would play out. There had been a lot of preparation and time put in from the breaking community as a whole. Bboy Tobi, representing Recession Squad (Ireland), kicked off Bradford Brawl with his workshop in the morning. The turnout was like no other, with 29 Bboys and Bgirls in attendance! This is the most amount of breakers we have ever seen attend a guest workshop and this includes workshops we have visited in other countries, all over the world. Tobi did an amazing job, he really instilled key Hip Hop values into the Bboys and Bgirls, which was great to see. Bboy Tobi is our first guest from overseas for Bradford Brawl which made this even more special. West Side Breakers were the first showcase opening up the event with an explosive start. It was great to see that they have grown and progressed as a crew, since the last event. The Concrete Roses showcase followed right after and it included a lot of great transitions and tricks. Concrete Roses have some of the more experienced dancers from the new generation within their crew and this could [...]
