Bradford Brawl 2026 was incredible and the level had stepped up once again! 9 showcases, 7 crews, 4 battle categories, our annual awards ceremony and some of the best battles we have seen from the students in Bradford Brawl history.
Bradford Brawl is a key event within the city’s scene. National and international events continue to be there but having this internal event, for the Bradford Bboys, Bgirls and crews only, is so important to help strengthen our scene. Not only does it help individuals and crews grow and sharpen their skills, but it brings families and friends together to celebrate the hard work the breakers have been putting in over the course of the year. It’s a time of celebration and fun. As the scene continues to grow here in Bradford, this event continues to bring some incredible battles and narratives to follow through from one year to the next.
The morning started off with an amazing workshop by Bboy Boogie (Trinity Warriors/Ill Warriorz), from Derby. With 32 breakers signed up, this was our biggest turnout to date for a Bradford workshop – all dancers from the Bradford scene! Boogie wasted no time getting stuck into his teaching, taking the dancers through transitions, levels, speed changes and much more. For a 1-hour workshop, he really made great use of the full hour. We later saw some of the Bboys and Bgirls using some of the ideas from the morning workshop in their battles later in the afternoon! Boogie’s style and approach could be felt even through the way he was teaching. It was evident why he moves in the way that he does as a Bboy. It was an incredible way to start the Bradford Brawl day.
Windhill Clan were the first Bradford Brawl 2026 showcase and what a way to open up the event. They have certainly grown throughout the years and this year was the most confident they looked. The audience always enjoy the locking elements that they bring to their showcases too.
B.Smooth were up next and even though they’re still one of the newer crews in comparison to others in the lineup, they definitely have their own identity to them already along with great energy & confidence. This year B.Smooth adopted some popping elements into their showcase, which was great to see.
As part of our outreach program in collaboration with Tranquil Productions, we delivered 11 workshops at Little London Primary School. They joined us from Leeds at this year’s Bradford Brawl and they did an incredible job. Bboy Stylez (Clean North Crew) did an amazing job with these dancers, from the creativity with the choreography to the music choices and the theatrics, Little London really brought something different to the floor.
Then came the 2025 showcase winners, Bradford City Breakers. This is the youngest crew in the scene with one member at just 4 years old. These Bboys and Bgirls always bring great character and personality to the floor. They incorporated some challenging tricks and choreography this year mixed in with some great moments playing with the music. They’re always a joy to watch and this year was no different.
Concrete Roses, a crew with more of the older breakers were up next. They brought a level of ease to their show with everything being delivered with confidence, whether it was a simple top rock step to a backflip, they made it look easy due to some of the experience within the crew. The music choice was amazing too as it matched them well as a crew, making them one of the standouts for the day.
Westside Breakers came through next with their showcase and this crew have grown tighter as a unit since last year’s event which showed this year in a variety of ways. It was great to see some of the younger members step up within their showcase too, which lends to the commitment of the crew being higher than ever before.
Tech Styles Central, a collective of some of the more advanced breakers in the scene, brought the storytelling, concepts and props to this year’s Bradford Brawl! It was a challenging piece for these Bboys and Bgirls but they stepped up to the mark, delivering a great performance. They took it a step further, showing their support for a local Hip Hop brand called breakinbook.com – one of this year’s sponsors for Bradford Brawl. It was amazing to see all 13 dancers rocking the merch.
The Showcase of The Year award is up for grabs for all the class crews. This year’s winner truly came through with a force, stepping up in a major way since their first performance just last year. Under the mentorship of Bgirl Ammo, Heat Force are this year’s Showcase of The Year award winners! Congratulations to these Bboys and Bgirls. To achieve this so early on in their journey is incredible and we hope it’s just a sign of things to come for these breakers. They have really come along well in such a short space of time and we can’t wait to see what’s next for them.
Bradford’s leading professional breakin crew, Clean North Crew, had a new piece to perform at this year’s event. Established in 2002 and still getting down 24 years later is an incredible feat. It’s important to showcase where true time, dedication and effort can lead. Their piece was the last showcase of the day and they truly delivered. We hope the younger generations can take inspiration from what was displayed. If you stick together as a crew, remain loyal, dedicate your time to the culture and one another, you will go far. Also shout out to Bgirl Fox for the Choreography & rehearsal directing in the weeks running up to Bradford Brawl, she ensured the crew looked as sharp as ever in their performance and it really showed on the day.
Now lets get into the battles 2v2 10 and under battles. There were some tough calls right from the qualifiers! These young guns were really bringing the heat from the beginning, but there could only be one winning duo in the end. It was an all Bradford City Breakers final with Carter & Elijah going against Ted and their newest member, Rome.
Congratulations to Carter & Elijah for becoming back to back 2v2 10 and under champions! All 3 teams of Bradford City Breakers made it to the semis as well so shout out to Evie & Ruby Rock too and to all the other breakers who competed in this category, keep training up. There were some amazing battles this year.
The 2v2 Over 10s brought some of the best battles this year! Dexy & Milo (Concrete Roses) were the ones to beat as they came into the event as defending champions. Every crew, every duo, were strategizing and working together to try and take that spot this year but Concrete Roses managed to retain their title and become back to back champions!
These Bboys did an incredible job throughout these battles. One of the highlights of the event was their semi finals against Westside Breakers’ Bgirl Orlaigh & Bgirl Assassin. You can view this battle below, they really pulled out all the stops to ensure they’d come out on top. Congratulations once again to Dexy & Milo on their 2nd win.
Then we had the battles that everyone can’t wait to see, the Tranquil Productions ‘Breaker of The Year’ Final. It isn’t easy to earn the ‘Breaker of The Month’ award. There are a lot of breakers in the Bradford scene, so to be one of the 8 breakers to earn it throughout the year is a great feat. To go on to win ‘Breaker of The Year’ however is even harder, there is nothing like battling against your own scene.
It came down to Bboy Dexy and Bboy Willmatic in the finals. They had just finished their 2v2 finals so the fatigue was understandably evident. It was a 3 round final with both giving everything they had, but only one could come out on top.
A huge congratulations to Bboy Willmatic on being crowned Tranquil Productions 2026 Breaker of the Year!
This victory marks a significant moment in Bradford breakin history. Since the award was introduced, every previous winner has represented Clean North Crew. Willmatic has become the first breaker from another crew—Westside Breakers—to claim the title, making this an historical achievement not only for himself and his crew, but for the growth of the Bradford scene as a whole. It reflects just how much the level across the city continues to rise.
The win was no accident. After reaching the semi-finals in 2025, he returned this year stronger, sharper and more determined, battling all the way to the title.
What made the achievement even more impressive was the sheer amount of dancing he put in throughout the day. After battling through the 2v2s and reaching the finals, he went straight into a demanding three-round Breaker of the Year final before immediately joining his crew for the crew battle finals. This was also on top of performing in two showcases throughout the day too. The win is a testament to Willmatic’s hard work, stamina and determination. A well-deserved win – congratulations once again!
Crew culture is Hip Hop culture and we really try to push this here in the city. That’s why we have B.Tactical at the big Tech Styles events and it’s why crews are at the forefront of what we do here in the Bradford scene. They’re some of the most fun battles to not only to watch but to participate in and this year’s Bradford Brawl was no different. The crews really brought the energy and the strategy level has been increasing for sure over the past few years. Westside Breakers were looking for their threepeat whilst all the other crews were looking to overthrow them.
The crew finals came straight after the Breaker of The Year finals and it was a rematch between Westside Breakers and Concrete Roses! These crews just met in the finals of the 2v2 over 10s AND the Breaker of The Year finals so the energy in the room was through the roof. After back-and-forth rounds, it came down to a tie! After their tie breaker round, it was Westside Breakers who won it all, becoming the first crew to ever threepeat in Bradford Brawl history! Congratulations to this crew and also Bgirl Labyrinth who is their instructor and has been from the beginning. It really came down to the wire and what a treat this was to witness for everyone in the room.
The Awards Ceremony returned once again this year, serving as a special highlight of the event by recognising Bboys and Bgirls for their various achievements over the past year.
THE HEART
This year’s Heart Award went to none other than Frank, representing Windhill Clan! Frank dances with genuine passion, always leaving everything he has on the floor every time he steps into the cypher. His unpredictable style makes him an exciting breaker to watch and his love for the dance shines through in every round. We can’t wait to see where his breakin journey takes him next. Congratulations, Frank!
DEDICATION
Representing one of Bradford’s newest crews, Bgirl Nayhem of Heat Force took home this year’s Dedication Award! Nayhem has quickly established herself as one of the standout breakers of the new generation emerging within the Bradford scene. Her commitment and love for the dance were evident throughout Bradford Brawl, where she represented strongly in both the showcases and the battles. This is only the beginning and we know there’s plenty more to come. Congratulations, Nayhem!
THE BATTLE CAT
Congratulations to Bgirl Orlaigh, representing Westside Breakers, on receiving this year’s Battle Cat Award! Orlaigh delivered some of the most exciting and intense battle rounds of the entire event. Whether competing in the 2v2 battles or the crew battles, she brought energy, confidence and true battle spirit every time she stepped onto the floor. A well-deserved award. Congratulations, Orlaigh!
REP THE CULTURE
This year’s Rep the Culture Award goes to Bboy Elijah, representing Bradford City Breakers & Clean North Crew. At just eight years old, Elijah is already showing what it truly means to represent breakin and the culture. His attitude and love for the dance have made him standout and it’s clear he has a bright future ahead. This is just the beginning of his journey and we hope he continues to stay true to the culture, while growing as both a breaker and a role model within the community. Congratulations, Elijah!
BREAKER’S BREAKER
The Breaker’s Breaker Award is voted for by the attendees of Bradford Brawl and recognises the Bboy or Bgirl who stood out across the entire event, whether through the showcases, battles or cyphers. This year’s Breaker’s Breaker Award goes to Bgirl Storm, representing Concrete Roses!
Making her first appearance at Bradford Brawl, Storm impressed everyone with her energy, skill and presence throughout the day. She consistently stood out across every aspect of the event and is a very deserving winner of this year’s award. What an incredible start to her breakin journey. We hope this is just the beginning of many more achievements to come. Congratulations, Storm, on winning the 2026 Breaker’s Breaker Award.

Each year, the level and energy at Bradford Brawl continues to grow, but this year felt different. The anticipation was clear long before the event, with crews pushing themselves to improve and represent strongly across every category.
While the guidance of instructors and mentors has played an important role, what stood out most was the commitment shown by the Bboys and Bgirls themselves. They took ownership of their training, challenged one another and raised the standard through their own drive and determination. As instructors & mentors, that’s exactly what you hope to see. Real growth happens when the next generation develops the passion to push themselves without being asked and that was evident throughout Bradford Brawl 2026. We hope to see this continue more and more moving forward!
