Tech Styles 10 will officially go down in Bradford’s history as the biggest and most incredible event to date, taking the city’s scene and reputation to a whole new level. Bboys & Bgirls from all over the world travelled to connect, exchange and celebrate the tenth edition of Tech Styles as an audience of over 250 packed in to witness these world class match-ups and hip hop at its best. Within the city, the Bradford scene showed up in full force, truly embodying all the teachings, stories and energy shared throughout the event week by our guest artists.

The event week as a whole had many highs, as we had artists from over 10 different countries arrive in Bradford including Togo, Africa, Mexico, Texas, Switzerland, France, London, Canada, Sweden and more. It meant a lot to the team to have these crews and individuals join us for the tenth edition and Bradford was blessed to be the home for so many incredible legends and pioneers of breakin culture.
Some of the first guests to arrive were the Rock Star Crew (Togo, Africa). At Tech Styles 9, we were finally able to invite Bboy Rodi over to be a part of our esteemed judging panel after many years of connections, plans and work. However, this year, the team took it to new heights as we were joined by a full squad of five Togolese Bboys who were ready to battle for the B.Tactical Champion Title. Their first arrival in Bradford was an emotional one as this has been a dream for them as well as us for many consecutive years now. We have to give a massive thank you to Bradford2025 & British Council for all their efforts and helping to make this possible! We also have to thank Arts Council England, Bradford Council, Tranquil Productions and Breakinbook.com for the continued support and for Tech Styles 10.

Last year, for Tech Styles 9, we saw our first ever collaboration with Bgirl City Worldwide (Houston, Texas) and hosted the first Bonnie & Clyde category at the Hip Hop Collective. It was once again an honour to have world-renowned Bboy Beast Boogie (Havikoro Crew) join us on the judging panel from the Bgirl City team and for Bradford to officially host the first ever Bgirl City UK Qualifier. This is a huge staple and achievement for Bradford’s scene and it is incredible to watch Hip Hop connect cities and people across the world.
Not only this, but two of Bradford’s very own dancers earned a major hometown victory and took the win in the Bonnie & Clyde battles! They represented to their fullest and won over the crowd and judges securing this huge win. A massive congratulations to Bgirl Ammo & Bboy Dexy who will be representing Bradford, the UK and their crew (Clean North) in Houston, Texas at the World Finals in June 2026!

The Hip Hop Collective continued to demonstrate all five elements of hip hop in their best form. MC ExP got the crowd’s energy rising as the doors began to open. Also already in the works, were five of the UK’s leading graffiti artists who began delivering a live exhibition. All artists created pieces with the theme of ‘10 years: Reflecting development over time’. All the pieces expressed each artist’s individual style and interpretation, providing the toughest line-up and decision for voters.
A huge congratulations to Hyro for winning the People’s Choice Award, his piece was created using a minimalistic but effective style of black markers on a white canvas and truly won over the audience.
The local MC duo ‘Kemmi & Femi’ ignited the crowd between the three inspirational talks that took place. Bboy D-Tex (Masters of Mayhem), Bgirl Galleta (BreakFX Crew) & Bboy Funky Maya (UniK Breakers) all delivered powerful talks, sharing personal stories and giving insight to their breakin journey and life. Despite all three breakers originating and growing up in Mexico, their lessons and focus differed, providing the audience with a vast amount of knowledge and inspiration. Whether you were a dancer in attendance or an audience member, these talks really impacted and touched all present.
The main battle day finally dawned and the energy only increased following the Hip Hop Collective the night before. As dancers from all over the UK arrived at Bradford Arts Centre, anticipation arose as DJ Musicarl kicked off the cyphers. Both the B.Tactical and 2v2 battles saw some of the best teamwork, moves & battles we have ever witnessed. All the crews really stepped up this year bringing new skills, routines & sense of unity to the floor. We need to give huge respect and congratulations to Bboy Cookie & King-Khalil for taking the 2v2 16 & Under win for the second year in a row! To champion it once is an achievement but twice is rare and really a massive feat for these young dancers.
Attending Tech Styles for the first time ever, Unik Breakers Crew (Mexico) fought their way to the final and to an intense and hype match-up with UK crew Ill Warriorz. Both crews had brought undeniable fire and energy to each and every battle, however Unik Breakers officially became the B.Tactical Champions and took home their first ever Tech Styles title!
Earlier in the year, Clean North Crew travelled to Mexico to take part in the Paradise Battle and experience the Mexican breakin scene and culture. During this trip, they were blessed to connect and meet legendary crew ‘Unik Breakers’. From watching them battle over the two days, it was clear to all members that their presence, style and energy was un-matched and would be a perfect addition to Tech Styles 10. Whilst in Bradford, the team also interviewed them for an episode in the ‘Organics Only Podcast’ where they share their journey as a crew and how they got to this point. This episode will be available on our YouTube soon – Click here to subscribe!
It was great to see so many crews representing at this year’s Tech Styles, turning up with full squads and tactically approaching each round. We believe that this is what it is all about and the scene will only move upwards with this mentality! Thank you to our incredible judges: Beast Boogie, D-Tex, Galleta, Marius & Lil’ Tim that worked hard and fair throughout the entire event. Judging is no easy task, yet each Bboy/Bgirl represented themselves to the highest degree.

Tech Styles is about showcasing every element of Hip Hop in unity in one environment. Following the theme of reflection and development over time, one element that is often left out at jams is locking and popping. These styles used to be present in battles and amongst crews and we wanted to honour this in our own way. That is why Tech Styles 10 saw our first ever locking and popping exhibition! A big thank you to Bank C, Special K, Popping Jutsu & Lia for putting on an incredible performance. The energy was through the roof and everyone watched in awe!

We were also blessed to have a returning Tech Styles Team member and OG, that is none other than world-renowned host MC Trix! Trix hosted Tech Styles 4, 5, 6 & Digitial and his presence at 10 was one we were entirely grateful for. At the Hip Hop Collective, the Tech Styles Team also awarded two ‘Dedication to Hip Hop’ plaques and MC Trix was one of two legends to receive this. The second award was none other than 10Tonn, representing Leeds! He has had a major impact on the scene in Bradford and the UK as a whole and deserves the recognition for his years of hard work! Finally, we can’t forget our third incredible host- Captain Sugarrush who thoroughly entertained us all and kept it real as always.
We would also like to give massive props to our returning DJs: DJ Rasp & 3E Productions for supplying incredible beats and energy all weekend long.
Special Ops Award
Every year, we give an award to one individual that the Tech Styles team felt really stood out at the event for all the right reasons. This year is a special one indeed as it was this breakers first time attending a Tech Styles event and also the first time in the UK! Give it up for none other than BBOY YOURI!
Youri representing Rock Star Crew, Togo brought an incredible essence and light to not only the event, but the whole week! From training sessions, battles and even on the floor at the after party, Youri’s energy and love for breakin and the culture was strongly evident in the way he carried himself. Breakin is an incredibly raw and real artform and this is how the team would also describe Youri. It was an honour to have Rock Star Crew join us for the tenth edition and it indeed would not have been the same without you guys. Well done Youri.

Lastly, we have to give a huge thank you to all of the Tech Styles team and everyone who was involved in making Tech Styles 10 happen. It truly was the event and celebration of a lifetime!
