As we approach breaking in the Paris Olympics 2024 this is an amazing opportunity to learn breaking (breakdance) with some of the best breakers in the UK. B>Pro Summer Camp 2024, is such an exciting time for the breaking community in Bradford. Summer dance camps have been happening for over 10 years and began with Tranquil Productions around 2012. This year’s summer dance camp is happening on the 7th 8th and 9th of August FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE and last year we had one of the most incredible Summer Camps to date.
The dance camps began with Bboy Tranquil & Bgirl Fox’s want to push breaking in the communities of Bradford and give the young people a chance to excel quickly over a shorter period of time. We wanted the young people from different classes and areas of Bradford to come together and form deeper connections in the Yorkshire breaking scene. After running the camps for a few years, it was clear to see there was a real need for these camps and they were having an impact on the national breaking scene. Thank God the camps were always a success and brought a range of participants, from those experiencing the dance for the first time to more advanced bboys and bgirls wanting to push their skill level.
The camps have been consistent throughout the years, and they have continued to grow in popularity and the content that is delivered. As time went on, the camps managed to receive funding due to the impact they had on the families that were involved. This was a major step up in the camps growth around 2017 and we were able to provide food for the children and young people involved, along with heavily subsidised/free places for children on free school meals. We gained the attention of Bradford HAFP, Bradford Council and the Healthy Holiday programme.
There is still some time to sign up for this year’s B>Pro breaking camp, so please make the most of this opportunity to join. If you want to make friends, enjoy learning new skills as well as honing existing breaking skills and be part of hip hop culture in Bradford this is the place to be. An amazing free meal is included each day for all our participants by Cultural Flava. We are still offering discounted places for children on free school meals so please do get in touch with us.

We are very happy and grateful to be able to run projects like B>Pro Summer Camp and we thank God for the amazing impact we see in the young people. The inspiration that forms through these camps lead to better dancers for our city and empowers them with more creativity, skills and knowledge to push arts and hip hop culture to the next level. The support of Bradford Council and Arts Council England, helps us to spread culture and creativity to young people throughout Bradford and beyond, whilst providing opportunities for young people from some of the most disadvantaged areas. We are really excited for the next edition and we hope it is a great success.
