Tech Styles Digital is a groundbreaking live breakin/hip hop event taking place on Saturday 8th August 2020, 14:00 GMT. This project was created to help not only the artists, dancers and creative practitioners involved but also the audiences who will be able to watch our event for FREE. We are going to bring one of the most exciting breakin battles of 2020, live and directly to you via Tranquil Productions YouTube Channel and this event will feature some of the best hip hop artists around. Through this event we aim to connect, inspire and help towards recovering from the effects of the lockdown. As part of our project we will also be delivering free quality community breakin workshops open to everyone, on Tranquil tv. from June to August. Tech Styles Digital aims to help peoples’ physical, mental health and well being through our online activity and provide some work for dedicated artists across England and the world.

8 breakers from around the globe will battle it out and showcase their ultimate skills to the music of world class DJs. We have 4 invited breakers and the remaining 4 breakers will apply through a commissioning process, which is open until 30th June 23:59 GMT. Each commissioned dancer will earn at least £200 t&cs apply. See below for more details.

These breakers will also be judged by some of the top most respected breakers in the industry. We will be making regular surprise announcements on all artists/dancers involved via our Facebook and Instagram. Be sure to like and follow us on these social media platforms, so you don’t miss out on these exciting announcements. Alongside our dancers will be a whole cast of creative hip hop artists from MCs to graffiti artists.

From the beginning of the lockdown director of Tech Styles International, Lloyd Thompson and his team were working hard to bring this God given vision to life.

“I thank God for giving me the vision for this project, I felt I needed to do what I could to help maintain strength for our organisation and other artists during these uncertain times. We have strong connections with many communities and I felt a strong responsibility to help lead the way through” – Lloyd Thompson

This is a highly collaborative event and we have to give a massive thank you to Arts Council England and the National Lottery for their support of our project.  Thank you to Bradford Council for supporting our artistic ambitions and funding our online community workshops and thank you to Tranquil Productions and Tranquil tv for helping us to deliver our content via their established social media platforms, allowing us to quickly respond to the present situation and the needs of our community.
